February in Florida… day temperatures in the 70s make for some great “winter” hiking.

Today we wandered off to Maritime Hammock Sanctuary, about a half hour drive from where we currently live in Palm Bay Florida.  

Sure wish I was quick enough to get a photo of the bobcat that blazed past us toward the tail end of our hike!  For both Wayne and me, it was only the second time in our lives we’ve seen a bobcat in the wild. We also saw alligator, an osprey with a fish in tow, and a couple tortoise having a good time.
